Successfully Using Alexa Pop Without a Smartphone

I recently got an Alexa Pop for my mom, and I thought it would be a breeze to set it up since she doesn’t have a smartphone. However, things didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped. She does have a PC and Wi-Fi, so I downloaded the Alexa app for PC, but it didn’t seem to connect to the network or play any media. I was a bit worried and considered sending it back, but I decided to dig deeper and find a solution. After some research and trial and error, I discovered that the Alexa app for PC requires a few additional steps to connect properly. I adjusted the network settings, ensured the PC was on the same Wi-Fi as the Alexa Pop, and voilà—it started working! Now, my mom can enjoy her Alexa Pop without needing a smartphone. It’s a relief, and I’m happy to share this workaround for anyone else in a similar situation.
