i use the sun elevation as trigger for my motion sensors outside. 1h bevor sunset/sunrise i turn on the motion detection, otherwise i am flooded with notifications throught the day.

Which sensor do you use?
I had a motion/light sensor but during the day it cannot differentiate the light

i use a homematic (i think mostly german system) battery powered motion sensor. i can tell it to stop registering motions. Bewegungsmelder außen - mit Dämmerungssensor
