I recently stumbled upon the SwitchBot Lock, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for me. Having never used a smart lock before, I was genuinely excited to integrate it into my home setup. The fingerprint keypad feature alone is a huge plus—it offers so many different ways to gain access, which is incredibly convenient.
With the help of this amazing community, I’ve managed to integrate the lock with the Edge Bridge Presence Arrival feature. This allows the lock to automatically unlock when I get close to my driveway. It’s not always perfect, but it’s still a fantastic start! The best part is how seamlessly it integrates with SmartThings. Being able to lock and unlock the door within routines is such a time-saver.
One feature I’d love to see in the future is the ability to auto-unlock when my phone is within Bluetooth range. Fingers crossed that happens soon!
