Symfony Hub Connectivity Issue

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to seek some advice regarding an issue I’m encountering with my Symfony Hub. While it’s been a reliable addition to my smart home setup, I’ve noticed a recurring problem where the hub periodically becomes unavailable within Home Assistant. Despite this, the hub continues to function perfectly when controlled via the Harmony App on my smartphone.

Here’s what I’ve observed:

  1. Symptoms: The hub goes offline in Home Assistant, preventing any commands from being sent through the system. However, it remains fully operational with the Harmony app, which suggests the hub itself isn’t the issue.

  2. Logs: I’ve reviewed the logs and consistently see the following errors:
    text
2020-05-18 19:27:50 ERROR (MainThread) [aioharmony.hubconnector] 192.168.178.90: Exception on post: Connection timeout to host http://192.168.178.90:8088/
2020-05-18 19:27:50 ERROR (MainThread) [aioharmony.hubconnector] 192.168.178.90: Unable to retrieve HUB id
2020-05-18 19:27:50 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.harmony.remote] Harmony: Unable to connect to HUB.
2020-05-18 19:27:50 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.config_entries] Config entry for harmony not ready yet. Retrying in 5 seconds.

  3. Attempts to Resolve: I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, including:

  • Restarting both the hub and Home Assistant.
  • Checking the hub’s IP address and ensuring it’s reachable.
  • Reinstalling the Harmony integration in Home Assistant.
  • Updating Home Assistant to the latest version.

However, none of these steps have resolved the issue.

I’m reaching out to the community to ask if anyone has encountered a similar problem or has any suggestions on how to address this connectivity issue. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!
