Synchronise two H1 (no neutral) wall switches

Hi, I have two H1 Wall switches in my kitchen, one controlling the ceiling light and the other controlling the under cabinet lights. How is it possible to synchronise both switches, so if either one is pressed, it controls both lights? Currently I have 4 automations set up so if switch “x” goes to state on/off then switch “y” goes to the same state. This results in a small but noticeable delay between the two sets of lights turning on.

If a more elegant solution is not available for the H1 switches, I read in the marketing information for the new Z1 switch that two different switches can be synchronised to operate the same device. Will this functionality be added to the H1 switches?

Thanks

@paul_stratton It sounds like you’re looking for a seamless way to synchronize your H1 Wall switches to control both the ceiling and under-cabinet lights without any noticeable delay. Currently, setting up automations as you’ve described is the typical method for achieving this with the H1 switches. Unfortunately, this can sometimes result in a slight delay due to the way the automations are processed.

Regarding the Z1 switch, it indeed offers a feature for quick synchronization and dual control, allowing two different switches to operate the same device seamlessly. However, this specific functionality is not mentioned in the available reference information for the H1 switches. At present, there’s no indication if or when this feature might be added to the H1 series.

If you’re seeking an improvement, the Z1 switch could be a viable alternative for your needs. Meanwhile, the community might have some creative solutions, so feel free to share your experiences and ideas here—collaboration can often lead to innovative solutions!
