Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring how to synchronize my lighting scenes across different rooms, and I thought I’d share my journey and some tips that might help others. ![]()
I recently upgraded my lighting setup with Govee bulbs and strips, and one thing I wanted to achieve was having all my lights change in unison when I switch scenes. Whether it’s a cozy evening or a vibrant party, having synchronized lighting really enhances the ambiance of my home. ![]()
Initially, I faced some challenges with delays and inconsistent timing. After some research and experimentation, I discovered that using scripts in Home Assistant was the key. Here’s a quick overview of what I did:
-
Script Setup: I created a script that triggers all the lights in different rooms simultaneously. This involved setting the same color and brightness for each bulb. It was a bit trial and error, but the results were worth it!
-
Automation: I integrated this script into my existing automations, so now it activates automatically based on time or specific events, like when I turn on my entertainment system.
-
Testing and Adjustments: Testing each scene was essential. I tweaked the timing and settings to ensure everything synced perfectly. It’s amazing how a well-timed light change can completely transform a space.

If anyone has tips or experiences to share about synchronizing lights or enhancing home ambiance, I’d love to hear them! Let’s make our homes smarter and more enjoyable together. ![]()
