Syncing Your Google Nest Speakers for Simultaneous Music Playback

Hey everyone! I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my two Google Nest speakers in the office to play the same music at the same time. It’s been a bit of a puzzle, but I think I’ve cracked it! Let me share what I’ve learned in case anyone else is struggling with the same thing.

First off, I tried just selecting both speakers in the Google Home app, but it didn’t work as smoothly as I hoped. After some research and experimentation, I discovered that the key is to use the Google Home app’s grouping feature. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Open the Google Home App: Make sure you’re logged in and both Nest speakers are connected.
  2. Select Both Speakers: Tap on the speakers you want to sync. If you’re using the app on your phone, you can select multiple devices by holding down on one and then tapping the others.
  3. Group Them: Once both speakers are selected, look for an option to group them. This might be under a settings menu or a small gear icon when you’ve selected multiple devices.
  4. Play Music: After grouping, any music you play through the app should now sync across both speakers!

It’s such a relief to finally have my office space filled with synchronized music. I hope this helps someone else out there who’s been struggling with the same issue. Let me know if you have any questions or if there’s another workaround you’ve found! :headphones::sparkles:
