Tado Hot Water Issues and Geofencing Theory

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue with their Tado wireless thermostat. I’ve been using it to control about 15 smart TRVs and hot water for quite some time now, and everything was working smoothly until about three weeks ago. Suddenly, I started experiencing problems with the hot water not turning on during the scheduled evening window. This was puzzling because the majority of the evenings were fine, but there were instances where the hot water simply didn’t come on, even when I extended the evening slot to three hours.

The issue seems to occur when I’m out during the scheduled time, but my partner, who was home, also didn’t experience any hot water. I’ve tried troubleshooting by adjusting the geofencing settings, but it hasn’t resolved the problem. My theory is that the geofencing feature might be interfering with the hot water schedule, but I’m not entirely sure. I’ve also noticed that manually turning the hot water on via the app or the thermostat works, but it’s not a practical long-term solution.

I’m wondering if anyone else has faced this issue or has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot it further. I’m particularly interested in whether the geofencing settings could be causing this behavior or if there’s another underlying issue I haven’t considered yet. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
