I’ve been using TADO for a while now, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. However, recently I noticed something a bit off with my automation setup. I have an automation that switches my TADO preset_mode to ‘Away’ after an hour of being away and back to ‘Home’ when I return. While the TADO app updates almost instantly, the status in Home Assistant takes about two to three minutes to reflect the change. This slight delay was a bit frustrating, especially when I rely on these automations to keep my home comfortable.
I decided to dig into this a bit more, and after some research and testing, I found a workaround that’s been working perfectly for me. By adjusting the automation’s trigger conditions and ensuring that the TADO integration is set up correctly, the delay has significantly reduced. It’s now almost as seamless as the TADO app itself!
I wanted to share this experience in case anyone else is encountering similar issues. It’s a reminder of how a little troubleshooting and patience can go a long way in optimizing your smart home setup. If anyone has additional tips or solutions, I’d love to hear them!
Thanks to the TADO team for creating such a reliable and user-friendly system, and a big shoutout to the Home Assistant community for all the support and resources available. Keep up the great work everyone!
