Tado Smart Thermostat: A Year of Seamless Heating Control

After a year of using the Tado smart thermostats in my apartment, I must say I’m thoroughly impressed! I’ve got a mix of radiator rooms with Tado smart TRVs and a newer extension with underfloor heating (UFH) controlled by a Tado wireless thermostat. The setup is all managed through the Tado app, and it’s been a breeze to control each room separately.

I did come across an interesting point in the Tado documentation suggesting that UFH should ideally be run by a wired thermostat. My question is, why is that the case? My system has been working perfectly fine with the wireless setup. Is there something I’m missing about the benefits of wired over wireless in this context?

Regardless of that curiosity, I’m really happy with how everything has been performing. The app is user-friendly, and the thermostats are reliable. It’s been a great year of smart heating control, and I’m excited to see how this system evolves in the future. If anyone has insights or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them!
