TADO Thermostat Auto Assist Mode Issue

I’ve been using the TADO thermostat with the custom driver provided by the community, and overall, it’s been working smoothly. I can control the thermostat directly from the TADO app or adjust the temperature through the HE dashboard, which instantly updates the TADO app. To keep everything in sync, I’ve set up a rule machine rule to poll data from the TADO thermostats, ensuring that any changes made in the TADO app are reflected in HE.

However, I’ve encountered an issue with the Auto Assist feature in the TADO app. This feature is fantastic as it automatically lowers the temperature when everyone leaves the house and starts reheating before someone returns, ensuring the preset home temperature is reached upon arrival. The problem arises when I manually change the temperature settings in HE or turn off the heating via HE (for example, if a window is open). After making such changes and restoring the heating, the Auto Assist mode in the TADO app switches to manual, and it no longer uses the preset schedules until I manually reactivate Auto Assist.

I discovered a button in the driver called ‘End Manual Control’ that forces the TADO app back into Auto Assist mode. However, I’m struggling to figure out how to trigger this button via the Rule Machine to automate the process. I’ve tried using ‘Run Custom Action’ and selected ‘endManualControl’, but I’m not sure how to set this up without additional configuration. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
