Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with Tasmota and see if anyone else has encountered similar issues or has advice to offer. I’ve been using Tasmota for a while now, primarily with Merkury 75W RGBW bulbs, and while I love the flexibility and customization it offers, I’ve run into some frustrating stability problems.
Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that some of my Tasmotized devices randomly reboot, sometimes getting stuck in a loop of rebooting every few seconds. This behavior is inconsistent—some devices work perfectly, while others are plagued by this issue. I’ve tried troubleshooting by resetting the devices using reset 5, which temporarily fixes the problem, but it inevitably returns after a few minutes or hours.
I’ve also noticed that the LoadAvg value on these devices spikes to over 1000, which seems unusually high. I’ve checked the MQTT settings, but they’re the same as those used on other devices that aren’t experiencing issues. I’m wondering if there’s something specific about the MQTT configuration or Tasmota settings that could be causing this instability.
I’ve read in some forums that others have had similar experiences, especially with certain bulb models. Has anyone else had success with particular settings or workarounds? I’d love to hear if there’s a more permanent solution or if others have managed to stabilize their Tasmota devices.
In the meantime, I’m planning to try updating to the latest Tasmota release to see if that helps. If anyone has tips or suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate it! Let’s hope we can get to the bottom of this together.
Cheers,
