TCL Roku TV Connection Issues

I’m currently in the process of integrating my new TCL Roku TV into my smart home ecosystem, but I’m encountering some challenges. Despite following the manufacturer’s instructions, the TV isn’t connecting properly, and I’m unable to control it via voice commands. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  1. Network Configuration: I’ve ensured that both the TV and my smart home hub are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The TV successfully connects to the internet, but there’s no communication between the TV and the hub.

  2. HDMI-CEC Settings: I checked the TV’s settings and enabled HDMI-CEC, hoping it would allow the TV to communicate with other devices. However, this hasn’t resolved the issue.

  3. Smart Home Platform Integration: I attempted to add the TV to my smart home platform using the Roku integration option. The platform detected the TV, but when I tried to set up voice controls, the commands didn’t register.

  4. Firmware Updates: I verified that both the TV and the Roku OS are up to date. Updating the firmware didn’t resolve the connection problem.

  5. Troubleshooting: I’ve restarted both the TV and the hub multiple times, but this hasn’t helped. I’ve also tried resetting the TV to factory settings, but the issue persists.

  6. Alternative Integration Methods: I explored using DLNA renderer settings since the TV is detected as a DLNA device. While this allows some basic media control, it doesn’t enable full smart home integration or voice commands.

  7. Contacting Support: I reached out to TCL and Roku support, but their solutions haven’t addressed the root cause of the issue.

I’m hopeful that with some additional troubleshooting or configuration, I can get the TV fully integrated into my smart home setup. If anyone has successfully connected a TCL Roku TV and can share their setup process or tips, I’d greatly appreciate it!
