Tesla Binding Update and Powerwall Data Enhancement

Hello everyone, I’ve been exploring some exciting updates with my Tesla Model 3 and Powerwall setup. I recently upgraded to OpenHAB 3.3.0.M1 and noticed that the Tesla Binding hasn’t updated as expected. My goal is to implement PV surplus charging by adjusting the current request, a feature available in the Tesla iOS app since December. I suspect I might need to reinstall the binding to access the new channels. Have any of you encountered similar issues or found a workaround?

On another note, I’ve been curious about enhancing the Powerwall integration to monitor voltages, frequencies, temperatures, and capacity more effectively. The current setup is functional, but having detailed metrics directly within Home Assistant would be incredibly beneficial. It would eliminate the need for additional tools like pypowerwall, streamlining my energy management process. If anyone has insights or suggestions on how to achieve this, I’d love to hear them!

For those interested in automation, I’ve successfully set up a system where my lights and TV turn off after 15 minutes of no motion. It’s a small tweak that makes a big difference in energy efficiency. However, sometimes it can be a bit too efficient, especially when someone is still in the room but not moving much. I’m considering adding a reminder prompt on the TV screen to nudge users to move occasionally. What do you think about this idea?

Let’s keep the conversation flowing! Any tips, tricks, or experiences you’ve had with Tesla, Powerwall, or automation would be greatly appreciated. Happy tinkering! :rocket:
