Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts! I’m reaching out to share my experience and seek some advice regarding my Tesla Wall Connectors and energy dashboard setup. I’ve got two Tesla Wall Connector Gen3 chargers installed, and while they’re working perfectly for charging my Tesla Model 3 LR and Renault Captur plug-in hybrid, I’m struggling to get the energy consumption of both cars to appear on the Energy Dashboard.
Currently, the Tesla Wall Connector integration only shows the energy charged by one charger, which is a bit frustrating since I have two chargers in use. I’ve been experimenting with the Tessie app, which does show both chargers separately (sensor.wall_connector_power and sensor.wall_connector_power_2), but unfortunately, these sensors don’t appear on the Energy Dashboard. I’ve tried creating templates and my own sensors to convert the power measurements to energy, but with only a few days of experience, I haven’t been able to get them to work.
If anyone has successfully integrated multiple Tesla Wall Connectors into their Energy Dashboard or has tips on how to do this, I’d be incredibly grateful! It would be amazing to have a clear overview of the energy consumption from both cars in one place.
On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with how seamless the charging process has been overall. It’s fantastic to have the convenience of charging both vehicles at home, and the integration with my smart home system has been a breeze in most aspects. I’m just eager to overcome this small hurdle to make everything work perfectly!
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions you might have. Let’s keep the smart home community growing and learning together! ![]()
