As a long-time enthusiast of smart home technology, I’ve always been amazed by the little joys these devices can bring into our lives. Recently, I had the pleasure of sharing that joy with someone very close to me, and I wanted to share this heartwarming experience with the community.
My friend has been through a lot in life, and for most of his adult years, he hasn’t had a stable place to call his own. Despite all that, he’s made incredible strides recently—landing a steady job, staying sober for three months, and even starting to furnish his own space. It’s been wonderful to see him grow and find stability.
One of the things he’s always admired is the smart lighting setup in my home. He loves experimenting with the different effects and often shares videos of the lights on his social media. Knowing how much he enjoys it, I decided to gift him some of my unused RGB lights and a glow table lamp. The look on his face when I told him about the gift was truly priceless—it was like seeing a child on Christmas morning!
