Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into some smart home projects lately and hit a couple of bumps that I’m hoping you all can help me with. First off, I’ve been trying to set up a time rule for evening lighting, but it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. Sometimes it works like a charm, other times it just decides to take a nap. I’ve tried manually triggering it, and that seems to kick things back into gear, but it’s not exactly the seamless experience I was hoping for. Any tips on how to get this rule running consistently would be a lifesaver!
Another thing I’ve been pondering is the Wyze Cam v2 and its recording cooldown options. I’ve noticed that without this feature, the camera can get a bit overzealous with notifications, especially during those busy times like when the landscapers are mowing the lawn or when I’m making multiple trips to the garage. It would be awesome if they could add this functionality to the USB-powered cams as well. Have any of you found a workaround or a clever way to manage this?
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with the Generic Thermostat platform and was curious if anyone has managed to tweak the target temperature precision in the UI. The circular slider only allows for 0.5-degree adjustments, which feels a bit limiting. I’d love to have more granular control, say every 0.2 degrees, to really fine-tune the comfort in my space.
If anyone has insights or tricks up their sleeves for these issues, I’d be super grateful to hear them! Let’s keep the brainstorming going and see if we can crack these conundrums together. Cheers!
