One of the challenges I’ve encountered is integrating devices from multiple brands. For instance, I recently tried setting up a Samsung Active 2 smartwatch with my iPhone to control my August door lock via SmartThings. While Samsung claims this isn’t possible, I refuse to believe there’s no workaround! If anyone has any ideas or solutions, I’d be thrilled to hear them.
Another area I’ve been exploring is energy monitoring. I’ve configured my smart meter using the DSMR platform and am receiving kW values for consumption and production. While I can export these to Grafana for long-term graphs, I’d love to have daily kWh values directly in Home Assistant. Does anyone have tips on the best way to achieve this without overloading the system?
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with creating custom scenes for my RGB LED lights. It’s amazing how a little color flow can transform the mood of a room! I’d love to hear if others have creative ways they’ve used color flows in their setups.
