Tips for Displaying Temperature and Humidity Sensors

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some tips for those of you who are trying to display temperature and humidity readings in a neat and organized way. I’ve been experimenting with different setups, and I thought I’d pass on what I’ve learned so far.

First, I found that organizing the information by location makes it much easier to read. For example, instead of having separate tiles for temperature and humidity, I combined them into one tile with a clear label. This way, everything stays in one place, and it looks much cleaner on my dashboard.

Here’s how I did it:

  1. Location-Based Labels: I started by creating a label for each room or area. For instance, I have “Inside Temperature” and “Inside Humidity” for my living room. This helps me quickly identify which readings are from which part of the house.

  2. Combining Readings: Instead of having separate tiles for temperature and humidity, I combined them into one tile. I used the device label feature to set the title, and then added the readings below. This makes the dashboard less cluttered and easier to navigate.

  3. Formatting: I made sure to format the readings clearly. For temperature, I included the degree symbol and the unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit). For humidity, I added the percentage symbol. This makes the readings immediately understandable at a glance.

  4. Color Coding: To make things even clearer, I used different colors for temperature and humidity. This visual distinction helps me quickly scan the dashboard and pick out the information I need.

I’d love to hear how others are organizing their temperature and humidity readings! Do you have any tips or tricks that I missed? Let’s share and learn together!

Happy smart home tinkering! :rocket:
