Tips for Reducing Camera Motion Detection Errors

Hey everyone, I’ve been having some trouble with my security cameras misidentifying objects as motion. For example, branches blowing in the wind or even shadows from the sun have been triggering alerts, which is pretty annoying. I remember when I had an Arlo camera, it was much better at distinguishing between actual motion and false positives. I’m wondering if this is related to recent app updates or if there’s something I can do to improve it.

I’ve tried adjusting the sensitivity settings, but that hasn’t helped much. I’m curious if others have experienced similar issues and how they’ve resolved them. Maybe there are specific settings or third-party apps that can help fine-tune the motion detection.

On a positive note, I’ve found that using a combination of motion zones and adjusting the camera angle has reduced some of the false alarms. It’s a bit time-consuming, but it’s better than getting constant notifications for nothing.

If anyone has tips or tricks for improving motion detection accuracy, I’d love to hear them! Let’s share our experiences and see if we can figure this out together.
