I’ve just received my Touchscreen Switch S100 and I’m trying to figure out if I did anything wrong.
Registered the device to Apple HomeKit with Matter, and then paired to Aqara Home. This is the same process I used in the past with success for multiple U300 locks, with a process that was painfully simple and efficient!
When I do that, everything seems to work properly, and I see the device show up in my Aqara app. However, when I open the device details, I get a big “Device cannot be connected” message, with limited settings available.
When I press that message, I get an “Unbound Matter Controller” screen, with no way to bind like I do when pair my Smart Locks.
Am I doing anything wrong?
Have you tried updating the device? This device requires a Matter Controller Leader, which must be running version 4.5.40 or higher. If the update still doesn’t work, please provide screenshots and videos of the failure so we can investigate the issue.
The switch is v 1.0.3.0 and telling me it’s up-to-date and the hub is 4.5.40_0019
I believe those are the latest versions?
We did discover a bug during testing yesterday that caused the device to appear offline, even though it was actually still controllable. If you’re experiencing the same issue, please try reconnecting to the network—that should resolve it.
If the problem persists, it’s likely not related to this issue. If possible, please send me a screenshot or a video so I can take a look.
