I’m really enjoying the new energy dashboard in Home Assistant, especially how it breaks down electricity consumption by individual devices. It’s been super helpful in understanding where we can make some energy-saving adjustments around the house. However, I’m curious if there’s a way to do something similar for gas usage. I have a Nefit boiler that reports gas consumption, and it would be fantastic to see how much gas each appliance is using, just like we can with electricity.
I know that right now, the dashboard only allows specifying individual devices for electricity, but I’m wondering if there’s any workaround or feature request in the works that could extend this functionality to gas. Maybe through custom integrations or scripts? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s tackled a similar project or has some insights on how to approach this.
It would be amazing to have a more comprehensive view of our energy usage across both electricity and gas. If anyone has any tips or experiences to share, I’d be really grateful! Let’s see if we can make this happen together. ![]()
