Transforming My Home with Govee Lights and Smart Thermostat

I recently decided to upgrade my home lighting and energy efficiency, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic journey! I started by purchasing three Govee RGBICW MODEL H805A 100-foot kits to light up my soffits. The goal was to create a stunning outdoor lighting display while keeping things clean and organized with just one power supply. After some research and testing, I managed to connect all three kits seamlessly. It was a bit tricky at first, but the results are worth it—my house looks amazing at night!

In addition to the lighting, I also upgraded my heating system with a smart thermostat. I’ve been using the GC-TBZ48 thermostat with the native Z-Wave handler, and it’s been a game-changer. However, I noticed an issue where the setpoints wouldn’t update in the SmartThings app. After some troubleshooting and reaching out to the community, I found a solution by adjusting the code in the device handler. It’s been a learning experience, but now my thermostat works perfectly!

I’d love to hear from others who have similar setups or have encountered and resolved similar issues. How do you manage your outdoor lighting and heating systems? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
