I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of creating a functional yet stylish kitchen, and recently I decided to take my DIY skills to the next level with Govee’s LED strip lights. After seeing some incredible projects online, I knew I wanted to incorporate these lights into my own space. 
The process was both exciting and a bit challenging. I started by planning where to place the lights—under the cabinets, around the edges, and even in some shadow boxes to add a pop of color. I was worried about the installation, but the Govee app made it surprisingly easy to control everything from my phone. 
One of the best parts was integrating these lights into my existing smart home setup. I use Home Assistant, and with a bit of tinkering, I was able to link the Govee strips with my other devices. Now, when I turn on the lights in the morning, they gradually brighten to simulate sunrise, making waking up so much easier! 
I also love how customizable these lights are. Whether I want a warm glow for dinner or vibrant colors for a party, the RGB settings never disappoint. Plus, the energy efficiency is a huge plus—my electric bill hasn’t gone up at all!
