Starting a new project in my house! I have a spare bedroom in my basement that I’ve been using for storage, but I’m excited to transform it into something really cool. My goal is to turn it into a smart, functional space that I can enjoy year-round. With the weather forecast predicting 50mm of rain tomorrow, I’ll be spending the day working on this project. Stay tuned for updates!
I’ve been experimenting with integrating various smart devices to create a seamless experience. For instance, I’ve set up a system to monitor temperature and pressure using a TM171 display. While the simulation worked perfectly, I encountered some challenges with the real target. After some research, I discovered that certain LEDs can’t be used with the BIOS menu active. This was a bit frustrating, but I found a workaround by adjusting the display settings manually. It’s been a great learning experience!
Another project I’ve been working on is automating my lighting system. I’ve been using Govee lights, and they’ve completely transformed the ambiance of my space. The ability to control them via my phone and set custom scenes has been a game-changer. I’m also exploring ways to integrate my existing smart devices with openHAB, which has been both challenging and rewarding.
I’d love to hear from others who are also working on home automation projects or have tips for integrating different brands. Let’s share our experiences and create a community that supports and inspires each other!
Stay tuned for more updates on my smart bedroom transformation. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
