Transitioning from SmartThings to Hubitat and Beyond

After years of relying on SmartThings, I decided it was time for a change. The reliability issues were becoming too frustrating, and I wanted a more seamless experience. That’s when I discovered Hubitat and, more recently, Homey. While Hubitat was a solid choice, it was the app interface that truly impressed me. The ability to organize devices into zones and customize the layout has made managing my smart home a breeze. However, I still wish for more flexibility in arranging zones and hiding devices that don’t need to be front and center. Despite these minor tweaks I’d love to see, the transition has been smooth, and I’m excited to explore even more possibilities with Homey. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing the Homey app, I’d love to hear them!
