Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to be diving into the world of Hubitat after hearing so many great things about it. I’ve been using SmartThings for a while now, and while it’s been a solid foundation, I’m eager to explore the new possibilities that Hubitat offers. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag in my journey, and I’m hoping the community can lend a hand.
I’ve been working on converting an app I used for my EvoHome central heating system from SmartThings to Hubitat. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’ve managed to solve a few issues along the way. However, I’m stuck with an error message that says, ‘Device type ‘Evohome Heating Zone’ in namespace ‘null’ not found.’ It seems like the app is having trouble recognizing the device type, which is crucial for the heating zones to function properly.
I’ve shared the code from the app below, and I’m hoping someone with more experience can spot what I might be missing. Is there a specific namespace or device handler I need to include? Have others encountered similar issues when transitioning from SmartThings to Hubitat? Any insights or tips would be incredibly appreciated!
I’m also curious if others have successfully migrated their heating systems to Hubitat and what their experiences have been like. It would be fantastic to hear about any challenges you’ve overcome or best practices you’ve discovered along the way. The more I learn, the more confident I’ll feel in troubleshooting this issue and optimizing my setup.
Thank you all in advance for your support and wisdom. I’m looking forward to being an active member of this amazing community and contributing to the shared knowledge as I grow more comfortable with Hubitat!
