Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with a scheduled scene that wasn’t firing as expected. I had set up a scene to retract my patio awning one hour before sunset, but it consistently failed to trigger. While it was frustrating, it also became a learning opportunity for me.
I started by checking the device logs, which didn’t show any errors, and manually testing the scene, which worked perfectly. This made me think the issue might be related to how the scene was configured. I decided to delete and recreate the scene from scratch, but that didn’t resolve the problem either.
After some research, I realized that the timing might be off due to daylight saving changes. I adjusted the scene to trigger based on a different time reference and added a small delay to ensure it had enough time to execute. Thankfully, this fixed the issue!
