Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to seek some guidance on setting up automations in Home Assistant. I’ve been following a tutorial by Simon to integrate my Marstek B2500 and Shelly devices, but I’m running into some hurdles. Despite carefully following the instructions, I keep getting an error message when trying to save my automation. The error says something about parsing issues in my configuration files, which is a bit overwhelming to debug on my own.
I’ve spent hours tweaking my automations.yaml and configuration.yaml files, but nothing seems to work. For instance, I tried creating a simple automation to adjust my water heater settings based on energy usage, but even that didn’t go through. I’m starting to think there might be a deeper issue with how my configurations are set up. Should I share my files here for a closer look? I’m really stuck and would appreciate any advice or tips you might have!
On a lighter note, I’ve had some success with my Fibaro sensors controlling lights and fans, but the occasional glitch where all my bedroom lights turn on at full brightness is driving me crazy. It seems to happen randomly, sometimes linked to my fan’s scheduled speed changes. I’ve tried adjusting the automation rules and even did a firmware update, but the problem persists. Any ideas on how to stabilize this would be fantastic!
