Hey everyone, I’ve been dealing with an interesting issue with my HM-TC-IT-WM-W-EU thermostats and thought I’d share my experience in case it helps someone else.
So, the problem started when I noticed that some of my thermostats were showing a battery symbol, but I wasn’t receiving any service notifications. I found this pretty confusing because I knew the thermostats were connected to window contacts and motor actuators through groups, which I had set up a while back.
After some digging through the documentation, I managed to figure out how to identify which device was causing the issue. It turned out to be a window contact! But why wasn’t I getting a service notification? This seemed pretty inconvenient, and I was a bit shocked that the system wasn’t flagging it more clearly.
I decided to reach out to the community for advice. Someone suggested checking the settings on the specific devices to ensure notifications were enabled. Sure enough, the window contact had its notifications turned off by mistake. Once I enabled them, everything started working as expected.
This experience taught me the importance of double-checking device settings, especially when dealing with multiple devices and groups. It’s easy to overlook something simple when troubleshooting.
If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I’d recommend starting by verifying each device’s notification settings and ensuring they’re properly integrated into your system. Happy troubleshooting, and feel free to share your experiences or tips below! ![]()
