Hello everyone, I’ve been working on optimizing my smart home setup, particularly focusing on my camera system. I recently encountered an issue where only one out of four cameras was visible in Google Home, despite all being properly exposed in Home Assistant. After some research and tinkering, I discovered that the problem lay in how the cameras were configured within Google Home. By ensuring each camera had the correct entity ID and was properly synced, I managed to get all cameras showing up consistently.
Another aspect I wanted to address was the order in which cameras appear in the Blink app. Having five cameras, I found the default order wasn’t ideal for my workflow. I did some digging and found that while Blink doesn’t natively support reordering, there’s a workaround by adjusting the camera names or using custom integrations to present them in a preferred sequence. This tweak has made navigating my camera feeds much more intuitive.
If anyone else is facing connectivity issues with their cameras or wants to customize their display order, I’d be happy to share more detailed steps or troubleshoot together. Let’s keep the community connected and optimized!
