I recently upgraded my home security system by installing a few Wyze cameras and a Siedle VIB 150-0 intercom. The setup process was mostly smooth, but I encountered a couple of hiccups that I thought I’d share and seek advice on.
First, the cameras. I changed my Wi-Fi password to enhance security, and while most devices recognized the new password without issue, the Wyze cameras went offline. The Wyze app lets me log in, but I can’t access any camera feeds. I’ve double-checked the network settings and ensured the cameras are connected to the correct SSID. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on resolving it without resetting the cameras entirely?
Next, the intercom. I’m trying to configure it to work seamlessly with my smart home setup. The intercom activates when someone rings the doorbell, which is great, but I’m stuck in a configuration loop. After ringing the bell and opening the door, the app asks me to confirm if the door opened, which it doesn’t, and then I have to go through the setup again. This is frustrating and time-consuming. Does anyone have experience with this intercom and know how to bypass this loop?
On a more positive note, I’ve found that using a Samsung power adapter for the Wyze cameras resolved an issue with signal interference from my X-10 devices. It’s a small fix, but it made a big difference!
If anyone has insights or solutions for these issues, I’d be grateful for your help. Happy to share more details or participate in any beta programs to get these devices running smoothly!
