Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to the community for some guidance on an issue I’ve been encountering with my Nest Doorbell. I recently installed a Google TV Streamer alongside my Nest Doorbell (Battery version), and I’m curious about how they communicate. Will the doorbell automatically use Matter to connect with my Nest speakers, or will I need to set it up again? I’m hoping this could reduce latency for chime notifications, as local communication might be faster than going through the cloud.
I’ve tried checking the Matter setup, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s configured correctly. Has anyone else experienced similar issues or successfully integrated their Nest devices with Matter? Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
To summarize my questions:
- Does the Nest Doorbell support Matter communication out of the box?
- What steps are required to ensure seamless local communication between the doorbell and Nest speakers?
- Are there any known issues or workarounds for latency problems with Matter?
I’m really looking forward to hearing from those who might have tackled this before. Thanks in advance for your help!
