Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well! I’ve been experiencing some connectivity issues with a few of my smart devices after recent firmware updates, and I thought I’d share my experiences and see if anyone else has encountered similar problems or has some advice to offer.
First off, I recently updated my SmartThings hub to the latest firmware, and since then, I’ve noticed that my Zigbee devices, particularly my multipurpose sensors and smart bulbs, have been acting up. Some only show temperature readings, others don’t report open/close statuses, and worst of all, they’re not joining the hub properly. I’ve tried removing and rejoining them, resetting them, and even resetting the bulbs to factory settings, but nothing seems to work consistently. It’s quite frustrating, especially since these devices were working perfectly before the update.
Similarly, I’ve also been having issues with my Wyze OG Telephoto cam. After the last firmware update, the camera doesn’t stay online reliably. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn’t, and even when it does, it doesn’t record to the SD card or trigger any recording events. I’ve tried unplugging it for extended periods, removing the SD card, and even factory resetting it, but the problem persists. It’s like the camera is there, but it’s not fully functional.
I’ve reached out to Wyze support, but I’m still waiting to hear back. In the meantime, I’m curious if anyone else has faced similar issues with their devices after firmware updates. Have you found any workarounds or solutions? I’d love to hear your experiences and any troubleshooting steps you’ve taken.
On a more positive note, I’ve been really impressed with the community’s willingness to help and share knowledge. It’s comforting to know that there are so many experienced users out there who are more than happy to lend a hand. So, thank you to everyone who contributes to these forums—it really makes a difference!
If anyone has any insights or suggestions regarding my Zigbee and Wyze camera issues, I’d be incredibly grateful. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other navigate these sometimes tricky tech challenges!
Cheers,
