Hey everyone, I’m running into some issues with integrating a few devices into my SmartThings setup and I’m hoping someone can shed some light on the matter.
First off, I’ve got a Belkin WeMo switch and plug that I’ve successfully connected to the WeMo app and Alexa. However, when I try to add them to my SmartThings hub using the ‘Add a Thing’ function, they don’t show up. I’ve also noticed that Sonos speakers aren’t appearing in the ‘Speakers’ section under ‘Add Device Manually’, even though I’ve seen them listed in some YouTube tutorials. Should I consider switching to a different brand, or is there a workaround to get these devices connected?
Additionally, I’m curious about the compatibility of third-party smart plugs like Lightwave and Energenie with the SmartThings hub. I prefer using double sockets over plug-in types, so any insights on this would be greatly appreciated.
