I’ve been trying to connect my iPad to my Home Assistant setup, but I’m encountering some issues. The error message I’m receiving is ‘Es besteht anscheinend keine Verbindung zum Internet.’ (Translation: ‘There seems to be no internet connection.’) However, I know my iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as my Home Assistant server. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Checked the IP Address: I confirmed that the IP address I’m using (http://192.168.178.210:8123) is correct and that the server is running.
- Restarted Devices: I restarted both my iPad and the router to rule out any temporary connectivity issues.
- Updated Apps: I made sure the Home Assistant app on my iPad is up to date.
- Firewall Settings: I checked my router’s firewall settings to ensure that port 8123 is open and not blocked.
- Tested from Another Device: I tried accessing the Home Assistant server from another device on the same network, and it worked without issues.
Despite these steps, the problem persists. I’m wondering if there’s something specific about the iPad’s network settings that might be causing this issue. Could there be any additional configurations or troubleshooting steps I should try? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
