Troubleshooting Home Assistant Network Issues

Hi everyone, I’ve been using Home Assistant for over four years, and it’s been a reliable system for me. However, I’m currently facing some issues that I can’t seem to resolve on my own. I thought I’d reach out to the community for some guidance. The Setup: - I’m running Home Assistant OS (HAOS) on a Proxmox VM. - The VM is hosted on a NAS with a Cisco 3850 POE switch. - I’m using the latest version of HAOS (2025.12.2). The Problem: - The UI has become extremely slow to load. - Some integrations are timing out. - The network interface seems to be throttled, despite network tests showing solid gigabit speeds. What I’ve Tried: - Rebooting the VM. - Rebuilding the core. - Repairing the supervisor. - Restoring from a Proxmox backup to an older version of HAOS. Logs and Observations: - The logs indicate network-related timeouts and connection issues. - There are warnings about entities taking too long to update. - DNS logs show some unresolved domains, possibly due to a VPN issue in a second apartment. Questions: - Could the network issues be related to the VM’s configuration? - Are there any specific Docker settings or resource limits I should check? - How can I further diagnose the network throttling issue? I appreciate any advice or suggestions you might have. I’m eager to get this resolved and get my system back to running smoothly. Thanks in advance for your help!
