Troubleshooting HomeKit Bluetooth Device Availability

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to seek some advice on an issue I’m encountering with my HomeKit setup. I’ve been using Home Assistant (HAOS) on a mini PC with built-in Bluetooth, and I have a couple of Everything Presence (ESPHome) sensors configured as Bluetooth proxies. Additionally, I have five Eve Smoke homekit smoke sensors that rely solely on Bluetooth for communication.

Everything was working smoothly until recently when all five Eve Smoke sensors started showing as ‘Unavailable’ in Home Assistant. This has been puzzling because, as far as I can tell, my house isn’t on fire, and pressing the test button on the units confirms they’re functioning. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps without success:

  1. Rebooting the Mini PC: I’ve restarted the device multiple times, hoping it would reset whatever was causing the issue.
  2. Updating Home Assistant: The system is up to date with the latest 2025.02 point updates, and I’ve restarted HA several times.
  3. Restarting Devices Individually: I’ve tried restarting each sensor within HA, but they remain unavailable.
  4. Checking Bluetooth Advertisements: Using the new Bluetooth advertisement monitor, I can see the devices are present, but they aren’t being detected by HA.

There are no error logs to provide more insight, which makes this issue particularly frustrating. I’m hoping someone in the community might have encountered something similar or could offer some guidance on what else I can try to resolve this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!
