Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered and resolved a similar issue with their Honeywell Z-Wave outlet. I’ve been using Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a HUSBZB-1 USB stick for Z-Wave and Zigbee integration. While adding the Honeywell outlet to my Z-Wave network, everything seemed to go smoothly at first glance. The device appeared in the Z-Wave network, and the switch functionality worked when I tested it. However, I noticed that the Z-Wave graph indicated the node as unconnected, despite showing readiness in the integration configuration panel.
When I attempted to turn off the switch, I encountered some perplexing behavior. The logs showed that the node expected reply was received, but turning the switch on worked without issues. The real confusion arose when I tried to turn the switch off, and the logs displayed warnings and errors, including a ‘node presumed dead’ message. This was unexpected since the node wasn’t supposed to be a sleeping device.
I’m curious if others have faced similar issues with Z-Wave devices where the node is marked as dead despite functioning correctly. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated! Let’s collaborate to figure this out. ![]()
