Troubleshooting LED Bulb Compatibility with Smart Switches

Hey everyone! I’m reaching out to the community for some advice on a lighting setup issue I’ve been dealing with. I recently moved into a new house and decided to upgrade my lighting system with some smart switches. However, I’m running into a bit of a snag with the LED bulbs I’m using. Let me share what’s been happening and see if anyone has some tips or solutions!

So, I installed a Zooz Zen 26 switch in a three-way configuration on the stairway. After powering it up, I noticed a pretty bright flicker when the light was supposed to be off. It’s estimated to be around 30% brightness, which is definitely not what I was aiming for. I tried removing the translucent bulb cover to take a closer look, and honestly, I’ve never seen this type of bulb before. A quick Google Image search didn’t help much, except to confirm it’s an LED bulb. Any suggestions on what might be causing this flicker and how I can fix it would be greatly appreciated!

To add to the challenge, I discovered that all the other bulbs in the house are the two-prong variety, which means my Zigbee bulbs are completely useless here. UGH!!! :weary: Is there any workaround for this, or should I consider suing the previous owner for not disclosing this issue? Just kidding, but it’s been a bit frustrating to say the least.

I’m wondering if others have encountered similar issues with LED bulbs and smart switches. Maybe there’s a specific type of bulb that works better with these switches? Or perhaps there’s a setting I need to adjust on the switch itself? I’ve tried a few things, but nothing seems to resolve the flickering issue. I’m really hoping to get this sorted out so I can enjoy my new smart lighting setup without any hiccups!

Thanks in advance for any advice or tips you can share!
