Troubleshooting Schlage BE469 Deadbolts with SmartThings

I recently encountered an issue with my Schlage BE469 deadbolts after reinstalling SmartThings. After accidentally deleting my entire setup, I had to start fresh, which was both a blessing and a challenge. My wife and I have been building a smart home for eight years using a mix of SmartThings and Echo devices, and documenting everything this time has been a priority. However, I’ve hit a snag with my Schlage locks.

The locks, which I’ve had for years, worked perfectly before. They’re Z-Wave devices but not the ZP model. I’ve tried various methods to re-add them to SmartThings, including selecting different device types like ‘Schlage Connect Z-Wave’ and ‘Schlage keypad,’ but nothing worked. I remember using a custom GitHub driver before EDGE was implemented, and I think it was automatically converted, but I’m not sure which driver was active then.

I’ve spent hours searching the community forums, but all results point to the BE469xx models, which I don’t have. I’m using a V2 hub with over 50 Z-Wave, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, and Matter devices, and I don’t want to switch hubs unless absolutely necessary. I’ve heard the V2 hub lacks Thread border router support, but I have enough Echo devices for that, or I could add a SmartThings Station hub. Still, I’d prefer to keep everything on one hub.

Has anyone successfully added these specific Schlage BE469 locks with a custom EDGE driver? If so, could you guide me to the right driver and how to obtain the invitation? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Let’s tackle this together and find a solution.
