Troubleshooting Shelly Devices Going Offline

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience with getting my Shelly devices back online after they suddenly went offline. I noticed that all my Shelly devices, including the Plug Plus, Door Sensor, and H&T sensors, were showing as offline in both the old and new Shelly apps, as well as in the OpenHAB interface. This was quite concerning, especially since I rely on these devices for my home automation setup.

After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue might be related to the firmware version. I decided to check the firmware on each device and found that some were outdated. Updating them to the latest firmware seemed to resolve the problem for most of the devices. However, one of my Shelly Door Sensors still wasn’t connecting properly.

I then looked into the network settings and realized that the device was not correctly configured to use the local network. After resetting the device and reconfiguring it through the Shelly app, it finally came back online. This experience taught me the importance of regularly checking firmware updates and network configurations for IoT devices.

If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I recommend starting with a firmware update and then checking the network settings. It’s also a good idea to ensure that your router is functioning properly and that there are no connectivity issues on your end. Happy troubleshooting, and feel free to share your experiences or tips below!
