I’ve been trying to update my Shelly1 devices from version 1.9.0 to 1.9.3, but it’s been a bit of a challenge. Let me share what I’ve encountered and what I’ve tried so far in case someone else is facing the same issue or has a solution to offer.
First, I noticed that when I attempt to update through the web UI, the page refreshes after about 10 seconds and just says, ‘You have the latest version.’ But then, a few seconds later, it goes back to showing that there’s a new version available. It’s a bit frustrating because it feels like it’s stuck in a loop. I’ve tried this multiple times, but the result is always the same.
I also checked the devices’ connectivity. They do have access to the internet since their time updates correctly, and they’re not cloud-connected. I’ve also ensured they have static IPs, so that shouldn’t be the issue. I’ve tried doing a factory reset, but that didn’t help either.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Shelly1 devices? I’m curious if there’s a workaround or a different method to force the update. Maybe there’s a way to manually update the firmware or check for any hidden settings that might be causing this issue.
