Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Smartthings two-step verification issue I recently encountered. For the past two days, I’ve been trying to log into the Smartthings IDE, but after entering my credentials, it says it will send me a text with a code. Unfortunately, I’ve never received the code, even though my phone number hasn’t changed, and I don’t have access to the backup code. This has been quite frustrating, especially since it was working fine before.
I decided to take a proactive approach and reached out to the support community. After some research and discussions, I discovered that sometimes the verification process can be delayed or blocked by network issues or security settings. I tried resetting my network, clearing the cache on my browser, and even contacting my mobile provider to ensure there were no restrictions on receiving SMS codes.
Finally, I found a workaround by using a different browser and ensuring that I was logged out of all other sessions. This seemed to resolve the issue, and I was able to regain access to my Smartthings account. I wanted to share this experience in case anyone else is facing a similar problem. It’s always reassuring to know that the community is supportive and willing to help each other out.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the discussions and provided helpful tips. It’s great to be part of such a collaborative and helpful community! ![]()
