Troubleshooting Synology Camera Live Stream Issues

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a frustrating yet hopefully solvable issue I’ve been having with my Synology cameras in Home Assistant. I recently upgraded my Synology Surveillance Station and noticed that while the camera feeds appear fine on my dashboard, clicking on them to view a live stream results in a broken image or a gateway timeout error. It’s really inconvenient because I rely on these live streams for monitoring my home.

I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps, like checking the RTSP settings, ensuring the correct ports are open, and even extending the timeout values in my Home Assistant configuration. Despite all that, the issue persists. I’m starting to think it might be related to how Home Assistant is handling the RTSP feed after the upgrade. Has anyone else experienced something similar or found a workaround?

On a positive note, I’ve found that the preview images update intermittently, which suggests that the cameras are still connected and functional. I’m hopeful that with some tweaking, I can get the live streams working again. If anyone has successfully resolved this issue, I’d greatly appreciate any advice or insights you can share!
