Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered or resolved a similar issue with their Honeywell thermostat. I’ve been using the TH83202ZW model for a while now, and recently it’s been acting up in a pretty strange way. The heat settings have gone haywire, sometimes dropping to 19°F and even spiking to 888°F, which is clearly not normal. I’ve noticed that when these extreme settings occur, the thermostat seems to cap the heat at 74°F, which is puzzling.
I’ve been tracking this behavior for over a year now, using a rule in my system to reset the temperature and log these incidents. However, the rule hasn’t triggered any events recently, which makes me think the issue might be more complex than I initially thought. I’ve checked the thermostat’s settings and even looked into how Hubitat might be interacting with it, but nothing seems to explain these random temperature fluctuations.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? I’m wondering if it’s a firmware issue, a hardware problem, or maybe even a compatibility concern with my current setup. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Let’s see if we can crack this mystery together. Thanks in advance for your help!
