Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience setting up the Blink Mini Pan Tilt camera. It’s a fantastic device, but I ran into a bit of a hiccup during the setup process. Hopefully, this post can help others avoid the same frustration!
So, I was following the setup instructions, and everything was going smoothly until I got to the part where I needed to enter my WiFi password on my phone. I thought it was straightforward—enter the password, hit next, and that’s it. But here’s where things went sideways. I misspelled my WiFi password, and now I’m stuck. The camera just says it can’t find the internet, and none of the troubleshooting steps I’ve tried so far are working.
I’ve restarted the camera multiple times, checked my WiFi network, and even tried resetting the camera to factory settings. Nothing seems to work. It’s frustrating because I know the camera is capable of so much, but I can’t get past this initial setup hurdle.
I’ve heard that sometimes the camera requires a specific type of password or might have issues with certain characters. I wonder if that’s what’s happening here. Maybe I should try a simpler password just to see if it works, and then change it back later. I’ll give that a shot.
In the meantime, I’m reaching out to Blink’s customer support to see if they have any additional troubleshooting steps or if there’s a known issue with the setup process. If anyone else has experienced something similar or has any tips, I’d love to hear them!
Fingers crossed, I’ll get this sorted out soon. It’s such a shame because I was really looking forward to using this camera to monitor my home. Hopefully, it’s just a minor hiccup, and I’ll be up and running in no time.
Stay tuned for an update once I figure this out!
