TRV Error Code 04 - Seeking Assistance

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to seek some assistance with my Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV). I recently purchased this device, hoping it would simplify heating control in my home. However, from the very beginning, it’s presented some challenges that I’m struggling to resolve.

Initially, I followed the manufacturer’s instructions to set up the TRV. It seemed to connect to my smart home system without any issues. However, when I attempted to update the firmware, I encountered problems. Despite multiple resets and following the troubleshooting steps provided, I couldn’t get the update to proceed. This was frustrating, as I was eager to start using the device.

Today, I noticed an error code, ‘04’, displayed on the TRV. I did some quick research and found that this code typically indicates a communication issue. I decided to perform a hard reset, holding down both buttons and the reset button simultaneously. After the reset, the device briefly showed ‘FL’ but then reverted to the ‘04’ error. This has left me feeling stuck and unsure of how to proceed.

I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or has any advice on how to resolve it. Is there a specific procedure I should follow? Could there be a hardware fault, or is it more likely a software issue? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
