I’ve installed many Aqara accessories for various uses, including heating (TVRs, température sensors, smart relay on my boiler…). To avoid heating failures in the winter, I bought a M3 hub so I could run automations locally instead of having them run through the cloud and lose heating in case of internet disconnection…
My problem is: some of my automations run through the cloud, but others run locally, including the automations that control my boiler (“chauffage”). I would like those automations to run locally but I can’t do it. I’ve tried to set the automations from scratch and they use the cloud by default. I can’t changé it in the settings. I’ve made sure all of my accessories are connected to the same M3 hub.
How can I run all of my automations locally please?
Hello. As of 10/01/2025, automation provides local automation if the gateway is updated to version 4.3.7 or higher. Older versions do not support local automation. What version of the M3 gateway do you have?
Please show a screenshot of the deployed automation.
Hi, unfortunately this is a known problem, I have it too. The automation of “<” and “>” installed has always been CLOUD. I also raised this issue two years ago, no changes.
Thanks for your reply. I also demand an improprement on this part. I bought a M3 hub in order to run my heating automations locally in case of internet failure, and that’s not possible, this is not serious.
Hello, I successfully use other E1 commands for automation that are local. I use this particular condition “<”>" as an auxiliary, non-critical one (if it doesn’t work, nothing terrible will happen). Maybe you should switch to such an algorithm?
