Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to reach out regarding an issue I’ve encountered with my Tuya devices after updating Home Assistant to version 2021.11.5. Previously, everything was working smoothly, but now I’m facing some challenges.
I have three curtain devices from Tuya, all of the same model, installed in 2020 and 2021. After the update, only one of them (the 2021 model) is recognized and functional. The other two devices, unfortunately, are not being detected properly. I noticed a difference in their instruction sets: the working device has a range of commands like ‘open’, ‘stop’, and ‘close’, while the non-working ones have a different set of commands and a boolean opposite value.
I reached out to Tuya’s support team, and they mentioned that these devices might not meet the cloud standard instructions, which is why they can’t be used with Home Assistant. This is quite concerning as I rely on these devices for my daily routine. I’m wondering if there’s a workaround or any alternative solutions that could help me integrate these devices back into my system.
If anyone has experienced a similar issue or has any insights, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Let me know if you need any additional details from my side. Thank you in advance for your help!
